It utilizes pre-tax payroll deductions under IRS Section 125 to provide employees with access to various healthcare services and when utilized as intended offers a cost containment strategy on the major medical for the employer. The plan aims to improve employee health and potentially increase take-home pay by lowering taxable income, plus allowing for guaranteed annual FICA tax savings to the employer.
