Property and Casualty Insurance Agent (Personal Lines)

Position Overview: A Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance Agent is responsible for educating clients and assisting with the selection of various insurance policies that cover property and liability risks for individuals and families. They assist clients in selecting appropriate insurance coverage and provide guidance on claims processes.

Creekside Insurance Advisors, Inc.,a successful, comprehensive, independent insurance agency exceeding 15,000 existing individual clients and nearly 250 employer clients is growing rapidly and in need of additional agent staff.
The ideal candidate would have some experience in personal lines insurance sales and have the ability to utilize P&C Agency Management Software applications. Candidates who are bilingual would be preferred, but not required.
Non-Compete Agreements: We will honor non-compete agreements in the local markets of our office location.
Compensation/Benefits
● Base salary plus commission on personal production

Qualifications and Skills
● Experience: Personal Lines P&C Insurance (Preferred)
● License: Property & Casualty Insurance License (Required)
● In-depth knowledge of property and casualty insurance products, coverage types, and policy terms
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and build relationships with clients
● Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess client risks and recommend appropriate coverage
● Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage client information and policy documentation
● Proficiency in using insurance software and online tools for policy management and claims processing
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Sales and Client Acquisition:

Identify potential clients through various channels such as referrals, networking, and cold calling

Meet with prospective clients to understand their insurance needs and assess their risks

Educate clients about different insurance options and recommend suitable coverage based on their requirements and needs

Prepare and present insurance proposals to clients, explaining policy terms, conditions, and premiums

Negotiate policy terms and premiums to ensure a satisfactory agreement for both the client and the insurance company

Close sales and process necessary paperwork for policy issuance
2. Policy Management and Renewals:

Maintain relationships with existing clients and provide ongoing customer service

Review clients' existing policies to ensure coverage adequacy and make recommendations for necessary adjustments

Assist clients with policy renewals, including evaluating any changes in risk factors and updating coverage as needed

Address client inquiries and concerns regarding policy coverage, claims processes, and billing issues

Collaborate with underwriters and insurance carriers to secure appropriate coverage for clients
3. Claims Assistance and Support:

Guide clients through the claims process and assist in submitting necessary documentation

Work with insurance adjusters and claim representatives to ensure timely and fair claims resolution

Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure proper assessment and settlement of claims
4. Compliance and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policies, and claims information using appropriate software systems.

Stay updated on insurance industry regulations, policy changes, and market trends

Comply with legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality of client information and adherence to relevant laws and regulations
